2D Rebar Detailing
2D Rebar Detailing is the process of preparing clear, accurate shop drawings that show how reinforcing steel (rebar) is placed within concrete elements using two-dimensional views. It includes detailed plans, sections, and elevations indicating bar sizes, spacing, bending shapes, lap lengths, anchorage, and placement instructions for elements such as footings, slabs, beams, columns, and walls. Bar bending schedules (BBS) are also developed to list quantities, lengths, shapes, and weights of reinforcement. This detailing ensures that fabrication and installation are carried out correctly, minimizes site errors, and helps maintain compliance with structural drawings, design codes, and project specifications.
